The Law Firm of Annapolis was established in 1998 by Attorney Marysabel Rodriguez-Nanney. Focusing on immigration matters, the Firm is dedicated to providing high-quality, effective legal representation to clients, on the principle that each client deserves experienced and committed representation. Ms. Rodriguez-Nanney’s knowledge of immigration law combined with her criminal defense experience gives her the tools to effectively evaluate the collateral consequences of a case and determine the best course of action to alleviate any negative outcomes.

The Law Firm of Annapolis routinely handles diverse and complex immigration issues; its attorneys represent individuals in removal/deportation cases, work with employers who wish to bring either skilled or unskilled employees to the United States from abroad, facilitate families who want to bring their loved ones to the United States from their home countries, and help eligible clients ultimately become United States citizens.

A substantial portion of the Firm’s practice is in providing defense in serious traffic offenses and criminal matters. This experience is critical, as an immigration attorney must be able to provide proper counsel to effectively represent a client’s potentially divergent interests in matters not obviously related to their immigration status.  This is crucial, as guilty pleas to relatively minor crimes or misdemeanors can result in near certain deportation.

Most of the members at The Law Firm of Annapolis are native Spanish speakers. Ms. Rodriguez-Nanney, who is a native of Peru, graduated from the University of Maryland School of Law in 1997 and began her legal career as an associate for Jerome T. May, P.A. She has been an active member of the Maryland Hispanic Bar, the American Immigration Lawyers Association, the Anne Arundel County Bar Association and the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys’ Association. Throughout the years Ms. Rodriguez-Nanney has served in numerous committees and organizations and maintains an active involvement with the Latino community of Maryland.

Attorney Jessica Quincosa, who joined the firm in 2008, is a Cuban-American and was raised speaking Spanish. Ms. Quincosa graduated from the New England School of Law in 2003 and prior to joining the Firm, practiced at the law firm of Howrey LLP. Ms. Quincosa is an active member of the Maryland and DC Hispanic Bar Associations, Anne Arundel County Bar Association, the Maryland State Bar Association and the Maryland Criminal Defense Attorneys’ Association. Ms. Quincosa serves in numerous local committees and volunteers with the Latino Community.  Ms. Quincosa is licensed to practice law in Maryland, the District of Columbia and inactive in Massachusetts.

Additionally, the Firm’s attorneys have an understanding of the many intricacies of domestic law, handling domestic matters such as adoptions, custody disputes, and divorce proceedings. The Firm also works with individuals and businesses in bankruptcy proceedings and foreclosures.

The Law Firm of Annapolis is always prepared to aggressively defend their clients’ rights, provide thoughtful options and strive for a just outcome. They prioritize their clients’ goals and circumstances and are dedicated to providing the best possible service and understand that their clients are often in difficult, complicated, and seemingly overwhelming situations.
